General and Laparoscopic Surgery

The department is led by highly qualified and competent- surgeons with a vast experience. 

The department of surgery provides evaluation and treatment for a full range of general surgery problems. The breadth of surgical services includes breast, endocrine, minimally invasive procedures, V.A.T.S., hepatobilliary, colorectal, gastic and trauma. Moreover the staff works closely with other medical specialities to provide optimal patient care. Action Institute’s team of professionals includes surgeons, anesthesiologists, physicians, psychologists. The department consists of six senior consultants who have trained and worked at leading medical institutions in India and abroad.

Minimally Invasive Surgery

The Institute has a strong and renowned section of Minimally Invasive Surgery in the Department of General Surgery. The Department's laparoscopic surgeons continue to perform the most sophisticated cases with excellent results. While continuing to do large volumes of routine cases, such as cholecystectomy, hernia repair and appendicectomy as well as sophisticated procedures on the foregut such as espohagomytomy for achalasia, repair of paraesophageal hernia, peptic ulcer, cystogastrostomy pseudocyst pancreas, Nissen fundoplication, splenectomy, liver swelling and cysts, small intestinal and large intestinal benign and cancerous diseases, Intestinal tuberculosis, rectal, uterine prolapse, varicocoele, Kidney and ureteric stones, adrenal tumors video assisted thoracic surgery (V.A.T.S.) etc. We have two fully functional state of the art German laparoscopic equipment sets. 

Hepato- billary surgery 

Patients from across the country seek the expertise of our specialists for a wide range of hepatobiliary diseases. In fact, the institute's surgeons have a vast experience with relatively uncommon & common hepatobiliary procedures. 

Breast Surgery 

The Breast Care aims to provide optional coordinated patient care for the treatment of benign breast diseases & breast cancer. Superior diagnostic strategies for this disease and the best avenue to identify patients at risk while using education. Treatment and diagnostic strategies to continue their well-health. 

Endocrine Surgery 

Our Surgeons offer renowned surgical care for patients with disease of thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal endocrine pancreas, as well as neuroendocrine tumors. 

Dressing Room 

There are two fully equipped dressing rooms in the OPD area for minor dressings. Piles injections and small procedures that can be done under local anesthesia. A dedicated fully equipped minor OT is attached to the outpatient offices for minor procedures. 

Operation Theatre Complex

We have a sophisticated ultramodern theatre complex with latest state of the art technology Comprising of 11 operation theaters. 

Equipment and Instruments

Each theatre has a team of nursing and technical staff trained in various subspecialties. There is a dedicated recovery ward where a team of designated staff monitors the patients after a surgery, ensuring a very close post operative monitoring for the initial first hour which is the most critical period after any kind of anesthesia surgery. 

Infection control

Every aggressive infection control and sterilization protocol is followed in the operation theaters and surgical ICU. A dedicated team of consultants regularly monitor the infection levels. This has helped us bring down the level of hospital acquired infections dramatically. 

Super Specialty Service

Most of the surgical patients also have one or more medical problems. This could be angina, blood pressure, asthma or diabetes etc. We have a team of super specialties like a cardiologist, chest physician, Diabetologist, gastroenterologist etc. who work with us closely to ensure complete physiological body control before & after the surgery. Ours is a reliable centre for complicated surgery in patients who have other medical diseases and require multi specialty focused treatment. 

Anesthesia

We have a dedicated team of highly qualified and experienced senior anesthetists who along with their junior staff provide round the clock service. The anesthetists are helped by the state of the art anesthetic equipments. Services also include preoperative checkups and post operative pain control with modern techniques like PCA (patients controlled analgesia) and epidural analgesia. 

Surgical ICU

There is a surgical ICU with 14 beds with a team of ACLS trained doctors working in shifts, who are present 24 hours with the patient. There is a high staff to patient ratio matching any excellent international center. The nursing staff is well trained to deal with sick patients. 

Emergency Services

We have a fleet of fully equipped staffed ambulances. These ambulances routinely pick up patients from Delhi and neighboring states. A doctor also goes to escort the patient. In all such cases the emergency teams are put on alert and a doctor from each specialty is available on arrival of the patient. 

Supporting Services

All supporting departments are functional 24 hours a day. Our blood bank services are the best in the country in terms of safety and efficiency. The labs are open round the clock and so are the radiology and CT scan departments.
