Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the operation theatre before surgery.
Ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterilized and ready.
Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
Prepare and position patients for surgery.
Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after surgery.
Assist the anesthesiologist during the administration of anesthesia.
Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and patient care.
Count surgical instruments, sponges, and needles before and after surgery to prevent retained items.
Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
Provide postoperative care and transfer patients safely to the recovery room.
Respond promptly to emergencies in the operating theatre.
Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste according to hospital policies.
