International Women’s Day Special

International Women’s Day Special

Women are the creators of the entire human race but still they are looked upon with contempt and misogyny, judged at every aspect and get constant advice for improvement . A woman’s life in contained in the fact of expectancy of being a good daughter, a good wife, a good daughter-in-law, a good mother and what not which retires her individuality because she is so engrossed in gratifying everyone who is emotionally attached to her, that she forgets herself on the list. She is always on the go to, relentlessly working hard to fix the jigsaw puzzle of life. No amount of money can ever indemnify the quantum of sacrifices she makes with herself to bring a smile on the faces of people around her. It is she, who knits together the entire family and makes constant efforts to never let a thread loosen.

There are so many pressures that break her down, family, career, societal but she vehemently emerges out to be victorious, thanks to the tremendous inner strength she is loaded with. Phew!!! To all the ladies out there who have been suffering in one form of the other, find YOURSELF in the smoke of the disastrous arena of misogyny, male chauvinism and constant stigmas thrown on your ideologies because you certainly have the right to be insurgent and you are answerable to yourself. At the end of the day, it will be you facing yourself and no one else so don’t be skeptical to build an empire for yourself because you are you before anybody’s daughter, wife, or mother. I know taking care of yourself is never your first priority, but don’t degrade yourself to the last, if you have the courage to take care of everyone around you then why are you at the end. Prioritizing yourself never makes you selfish and unfilial but somewhere will give you contentment and bliss. Hereby I emphasize to you to be a little empathetic about yourself, halt and take care of yourself first, that will help you to keep your mind and body in shape then will you be able to cater to the needs of others. Here are some health tips that will help you rejuvenate and restore yourself:

Never miss breakfast as it kick starts your metabolism and also provides you positive energy for the whole day.
Many of us tend to ignore our personal diet needs over that of the family. Please try to make sure that you get all nutrients from your food. Try to be as close to natural food as possible, meaning, eat a lot of fresh seasonal fruits and veggies, whole grains, low-fat dairy products, meat, fish, poultry, and lots of nuts.
Stay hydrated at all times. Drinking lots of water is the key to keep yourself fit from inside out. The best reminder is to carry a water bottle with yourself. Hydration is also crucial for weight loss as it reduces the feeling of hunger and helps you eat less.
Set diet plans for yourself: while nutritional accomplishments are most important for your health, cutting down the excess calories and munching habits are also of utmost value.
Be wise enough to balance your meal plans according to your own activity schedule and needs and your liking. Urge quotient which of course needs to be disciplined according to your own or your doctors’ knowledge and awareness.
Exercise and physical activity: 30 minutes of exercise per day for at least 6 days a week is essential without a doubt for a healthy fit and shaped up the body. Also, it boosts up your newer endocrine environment and helps in evaporating your mood depressors which are unwantedly parts and parcel of every woman’s life. So choose any of the below mentioned exercises that suits you like a brisk walk, jogging, running, bicycling, dancing and move to the target of looking fit, healthy as well as happy and stress free.

Developing social circles of family and or friends improves your level of happiness and thereby health. Interacting with others, helping each other, sharing with someone boosts up your internal confidence and strength and makes you stay happier, fit, and confident.
Learn to say “No” at times. No matter what stage of life you are a – wife, mother, grandmother. Women are seen juggling several things at once. They try to do everything that everyone asks of them and put themselves under ridiculous amounts of pressure which is very unhealthy. So learn to say ‘No’ at times without feeling bad about it.
Choose “Me” time have adequate sleep and practice meditation if possible.
Don’t skimp on sleep. An adequate amount of sleep of around 8 hours is essential for a productive and healthy day at home, or at work, or at the gym or park.
“Me time” – a daily dose of ‘stress-out’ time of just 10-15 minutes for yourself in the form of meditation is one of the many healthy habits which make you feel “you are the best”.

Regular doctor check-ups and nutrition supplementation are the points that cannot be emphasized enough. A lot of iron and calcium supplements along with antioxidants are needed to keep you strong in all stages of your life especially post-pregnancy and delivery and also in middle age. ‘Zinc’ and ‘Magnesium’ are the other two vital micro-nutrients to enhance the immune system and to maintain hair, skin, and endocrine health.

If you are strenuous, you will never be a victim to the obnoxious paradoxical norms created by the society for women especially because we are always expected to conduct ourselves or behave in a certain way and in any case if we don’t we are traumatized and pulverized to do so, just to accommodate in the society by fulfilling the norms and ideologies preeminently set for us. Don’t Forget Yourself, place yourself first. Your health, be it mental or physical should never be neglected or compromised. Regular exercising and a healthy balanced diet will keep your mind rejuvenated and impulsive to take up challenges with motivation and zeal. A little time that you donate to yourself today in planning out will give you life- altering results. This women’s day decide for yourself, take a stand and see your body take a path fitness and good health. Healthy Women, Happy Women.
Happy Women’s day to all the arduous ladies out there, remember everything starts with you, hold yourself high let no responsibility undermine your health.
